Museums

Mitchell museum & Cedarhurst center for the arts

You will not be disappointed as there is something for everyone all year round. The Beck Family Center is a great outlet to create, play and connect; it’s open to the public and admission is free. The Goldman-Kuenz Sculpture Park opened in 1993 and currently features 73 sculptures establishing this as one of the largest sculpture parks in the Midwest. Enjoy the ever-changing art exhibits and permanent collections within Mitchell Museum and the Shrode Art Center. Cedarhurst offers a wide array of events from children and adult art classes, groups and clubs; the Arts and Crafts Fair every fall; to Thursday Night Live with catered food, live music, and great company every Thursday evening through the summer. The Happening Committee aims to engage young adults with unique events such as Blues & Brews and the Oktoberfest Sculpture Walk. Be sure to keep up with them! Memberships are available but not required.
